Gestational diabetes

Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) occurs in 2%–5% of all pregnancies this rate has almost doubled in the past decade. The main symptoms mimic diabetes type II, and therefore are excessive urine and thirst.

Even though it may be transient, untreated gestational diabetes can damage the health of the fetus or mother.
